Media Information

The United States District Court welcomes members of the media.

This area of the Web site is designed to help you register and access news releases from the Courthouse. Information on the media section of the Web site will evolve with news releases and any pertinent information added before, during or after special trials. Please check back on a regular basis to access new information.

Case Information

The Clerk’s Office is unable to provide case information directly to requestors.  The best way to access court records is through PACER.  Information on obtaining an account and accessing records: https://pacer.uscourts.gov/

Alternatively, there are public access terminals located in the Clerk’s Office at the courthouse which can be used at no charge. Our office hours are 8:00 AM through 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

All Other Media Requests

A wealth of information is available on the Court's website and public docket. Members of the media are expected to make their best efforts to obtain answers to their questions by reviewing the pertinent web pages.

Members of the media should submit all other requests for information or questions in a detailed written request to the Media Liaison.

Members of the media should not contact the assigned judge's courtroom deputy, docket clerk or chambers directly for any reason.

Media Requirements and Application  

The United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana welcomes you to the Courthouse as a member of the media. Registration is complimentary for professional media representatives who meet the eligibility criteria described in the link below. Please follow this process to register.

DISCLAIMER: Requests must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance to be considered for review and approval by the court. Once approved a member of the Clerk of Court's Office will contact the applicant to schedule an appointment for credentials to be issued.
