On July 26, 2023, Chief Judge Shelly D. Dick issued General Order 2023-12, which addresses how previously unfiled claims of McClenny Moseley & Associates, PLLC’s (“MMA”) former clients will be handled in the Middle District. Attorneys who enroll on behalf of former MMA clients to file lawsuits for hurricane or storm related claims, which are accompanied by a separate Attorney Certification, will be granted a 120-day post-filing investigatory period during which time counsel shall not be subject to scrutiny pursuant to Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
