ACTION REQUIRED to Ensure Receipt of Electronic Notices from the Middle District of Louisiana

Recently, multiple law firms have reported not receiving notifications of electronic filing (NEF) from the Middle District of Louisiana. After extensive research, the Middle District has discovered that law firms which utilize Microsoft O365 or the Exchange Online platform for email may be inadvertently blocking receipt of email sent from enoticing@lamd.uscourts.gov. This is the court email address used to transmit all NEFs. The first known instance of this anomaly occurred in July 2022.

ACTION ITEM 1:  To ensure uninterrupted receipt of NEFs, we ask that ALL law firms reach out to their internal technical support staff to request that 1) the domains uscourts.gov and lamd.uscourts.gov be added to their Safe Senders list and 2) enoticing@lamd.uscourts.gov be added to the trusted contacts for all law firm electronic filers.  We recommend that ALL law firms take this action, whether or not Microsoft O365 or Exchange is utilized.

ACTION ITEM 2:  Run Docket Activity Reports in CM/ECF in all cases an electronic filer has pending in the Middle District since at least July 2022 to ensure receipt of all NEFs.
