2019 Middle District of Louisiana African-American History Celebration

24TH ANNUAL FEDERAL COURTHOUSE AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH PROGRAM - FEBRUARY 13, 2019

BATON ROUGE, LA – Chief Judge Shelly D. Dick, Judge Brian A. Jackson, and Judge John W. deGravelles, of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, Judge Douglas D. Dodd, of the United States Bankruptcy Court, and the agencies of the federal courthouse will host the Twenty-Fourth Annual Federal Courthouse African American History Month Program at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in Courtroom 1, located on the third floor of the federal courthouse.

The featured guest speaker will be the Honorable Sharon Weston Broome, Mayor-President, City of Baton Rouge, Parish of East Baton Rouge. Mayor Broome will share her interesting story of public service, including the challenges and successes that often accompany such achievements.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Ms. Nina Gray, a local soloist.
