2018 Middle District of Louisiana African-American History Celebration

23RD ANNUAL FEDERAL COURTHOUSE AFRICAN-AMERICAN
HISTORY MONTH PROGRAM – FEBRUARY 20, 2018

BATON ROUGE, LA – Chief Judge Brian A. Jackson, Judge Shelly D. Dick, and Judge John W. deGravelles, of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, Judge Douglas D. Dodd, of the United States Bankruptcy Court, and the agencies of the federal courthouse will host the Twenty-Third Annual Federal Courthouse African-American History Month Program at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in Courtroom 1, located on the third floor of the federal courthouse.

The featured guest speaker will be the Honorable Marc H. Morial, President and CEO of the National Urban League, and former Mayor of the City of New Orleans. Mr. Morial will share his interesting story of public service, including the challenges and successes that often accompany such achievements.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Mr. John Gray, local trumpeter, and Mr. Michael Foster, of the “Michael Foster Project.”
